The salary is horrible. The CEO is cheap. He actually admitted that during one of the meetings and bragged about it right after. He said, "he will make himself money but will not pay people money because he is cheap, how messed up is that?"
Salaries are 30% or more under the normal industry pay if you are in the USA. Canada makes more for the same jobs. They have a Canada diesel mechanic making $95,000+ but a USA software engineer making under $50,000. Lots of hours like 12 hour days and at times they are longer because the work has to be done now and was planned 15 minutes ago. This is how they lead. Burnout occurs often. The company is disorganized from the top all the way down to the manager.
The managers are unable to do their jobs and the executives don't even know what the managers even do. The best people either quit or were fired because the company is not making any money due to how poor the company is run. The CEO, CTO, and COO trio are horrible at leading. It seems my coworkers are only getting experience and buying time due to how they all are looking for other jobs.
The company has run out of money twice and about to again because they are not aligned on a single product. They have no real business plan. The plan is to do whatever is needed to keep the company alive since they fail at all the other projects.
Quick hiring, fairly dynamic environment. Prestigious brands and highly skilled and knowledgeable coworkers. Fun to work from home.
